I Heart Faces - Week 31 - Silly, Funny Faces & Pets

Here is my entry for a silly face! It's Nephew #1 making a monkey face!

We had a lot of fun making funny faces and he loved looking at the pics after each shot!
It was so funny to hear him burst out laughing when he saw just how silly he looked!


And this is my pets entry. My dog Tibby!

She is used to being in front of the camera since many days she is my only subject! :)

Not really sure of the step-by-step since I just kept editing until I was happy with it.
But here are (as best I can remember) the things I did:
-Cropped, increased the saturation & contrast.
-adjusted levels, sharpened image & reduced noise.
-decreased saturation and blurred the background.
-applied a subtle orton effect and darkened the edges.

I have been having lots of fun trying new things in my photo editor. I hope to keep playing along with fix it fridays so I can learn even more!

I Heart Faces - Week 30 - Summer Story

Decided to try the I Heart Faces thing this week. Thinking of bringing this blog back as my personal/ photo blog.

This is a picture I took of Lil Sis last summer.
I really love the way the pop can matches the colors of her shirt and the sun on the can just screams summer!


And here are some of my favorite pics from that day. It was a beautiful summer day and it was my first "photo shoot" with my dslr. It seems like this summer has gone by so fast and I haven't even gotten together with the family to take more pictures this year.
